Princess Charlotte’s christening will have a special connection to Diana
The youngest royal, Princess Charlotte will be baptized on July 5th at St. Mary Magdalene's Church by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who also baptized her elder brother Prince George. The ceremony will be very special as it will be held in the same church where William’s late mother Princess Diana was baptized.
Among the details, your royal highness is expected to wear the same embellished christening gown that her brother wore back in 2013. Who could forget how cute Prince George looked on the day of his christening. At the ceremony, the royals will take their very own silver-gilt Lily Font – which has been used in many royal baptisms.
In like manner, William and Kate have chosen to name their children after important figures in their lives. Prince George was named after the Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI. Recently, it was revealed that Princess Charlotte’s name was chosen after Diana’s brother Charles Spencer.
