Being a mom implies giving your kids the absolute best of everything and this includes a healthy diet. Many children in the United States are likely to suffer from overweight being that most foods contain hormones and saturated fats.

However, by teaching your child ―starting at an early stage in his or her life― the importance of healthy eating could help prevent any future weight problems.

Scroll down and discover incredible and super healthy breakfast ideas that your kids will love.

Shape your child's eating habits

Most kids are typically picky eaters, but this may be caused in part by food not tasting quite as good. As a mom, you’ve probably tried millions of alternatives to spark his or her appetite. But, consider that a lot has to do with the presentation. Also, most frozen or cooked meals may not taste as good, because they are not properly prepared.

Next time you visit the grocery store, these are the  products that could be incorporated into any breakfast. Consider that the most important thing to lookout for is anything that has too much sugar. Organic goods are always the best option!

Breakfast ideas

  • Organic waffles (Read the label to see sugar amount)
  • English muffins
  • Eggs
  • Plain yogurt
  • Natural fruits
  • Cereals (Read the label to see sugar amount)
  • Almond butter
  • Almond milk

A healthy and happy day

English muffins could contain (depending on the brand) up to 10% of the required daily fiber. Incorporate almond butter for extra taste! Eggs on the other hand could be cooked in many ways and most children feel fuller after eating them. Cereals and almond milk pair perfectly, not to mention that the combination tastes absolutely delicious.

Orange juice could contain a lot of sugar. Thus, breakfast should include water ―consider that this is an excellent way of teaching children that water is always a healthy option. With this in mind, natural fruits also taste amazing. Into a plain yogurt, add your child’s favorite fruits and have him or her enjoy a tasty yet nutritious breakfast.

At iMujer we are always looking for ways to empower you. Take into perspective that as a parent, you have an opportunity to little by little shape your child’s eating habits.
